Support Project Managers so that Asbestos surveys and projects are delivered to time, cost and client requirements and to the highest standards required by Bureau Veritas. You will also support trainee members of the Asbestos team in training and development.
The Person
You should hold A level or equivalent qualifications (Degree level preferred but not essential) One or more of the following Occupational Health Certificates in BOHS P402, P403 and P404 and havePrevious Asbestos Industry experience in the provision of asbestos surveys, and airborne fibre measurement, four stage clearance and reoccupation, experienced in the organisation and planning of personal work loadand in fulfilling role of day to day site contact for the business and its clients H&S Experience
MAIN DUTIES
Compliance with the UK Health &Safety policy and procedures Compliance with theAsbestos Quality and UK Management System Assist Project Manager in the formulation of quotations and tenders Carry out asbestos surveys and airborne fibre measurement, four stage clearance and reoccupation Production and provision of test reports and certificates to clients and contractors Manage the on site requirements of the Project Fulfil role of day to day site contact for the business and its clients Organise and plan personal work load as allocated by Project Manager Work closely with the Centralised Planning team, ensure work is being effectively scheduled and carried out. Assist in the formal training of junior staff and act as mentor and role model to junior staff in support of their development Work effectively within a team ensuring maximum efficient utilisation of time Maintenance of qualification to operate within the asbestos discipline Timely completion and submission of internal/external Quality Control requirements
