The Client
Our Client is a £120m contracting business employed heavily on Social Housing works as well as school and extra care projects, schools and some private sector development.
The Role.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and forming part of a regional management team. The Construction Manager will take full ownership for the overall management activity of multiple projects, managing a team of 4+ project managers to ensure work is delivered in accordance with programme expectations, to the required quality standards and all resources and costs are managed and controlled to ensure maximum return. The role will include managment of helath & safety, project planning, programming and commercial managment of projects and client/ consultant liaison.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Construction or Contracts Manager level with a main contracting background and a sound understanding of refurbishment and new build projects. The candidate will must demonstrate experience in managing successful delivery of multiple projects and a contracts team and have an extensive and successful experience of new build design and build project.
It will be a pre-requisite the construction manager is experience in planning projects and commercially forcasting/ reporting as well as demonstrating an ability to communicate at all levels. This individual will be expected to liaise on a daily basis with cleints and end users, understand the importance of relationships.
Personal attributes
The likely candidate will be a dynamic driven individual, qulaified to degree level or above and have a minimum of 15 years experience at site level with an expectation of a minimum of 4 at contracts manager or above.
