The Company
Our client is a supplier of Hard FM Maintenance and project services to both the public and private sector. The company is a National Business with a turnover of circa £400m. The N/W business unit will turnover a predicted £8m in 2012 providing hard services to both public and private sector clients.
The Candidate
Reporting to the Regional Director, we are presently seeking to recruit an Hard FM Facilities manager to take deliver hard maintenance services (as the maintenance provider) to a portfolio of NHS Building
Typically we would expect the candidate to have a recent FM experience at a senior level, and a sound knowledge of building services (HVAC/ BMS)/ Hard FM.
Up to date technical knowledge of ACOP’s, fire and environmental control measures, building control requirements, and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Individuals will only be considered that have worked within an M&E engineering maintenance
The candidate must have a proven track record managing sub-contractors and in house teams.
A proven track record of negotiating additional work with the client (property agent) and liaising on technical level with the client and supply chain are desirable traits.
Previous Hospital Hard maintenance experience is desireable.
The Role
Programme management of planned works and allocation of resources to reactive work. Developing the client and selling additional services as well as gaining more business/ additional buildings to maintain
Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contracts are exploited, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensure additional services and projects are added, and contracts are re-won on re-tender
Optimise staffing structures to operate across contracts, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service. Ensure structures support peaks and troughs in workload.
Development of contract financial plans for revenue and profit delivery, reduction of WIP, debt, cost reduction and contract growth, and ensure that these are met and exceeded
Provide a supportive and learning environment, and deliver development planning for team. Ensure basic training needs are delivered, employees are fully competent to undertake their roles, and are able to reach their full future potential.
